It took a few years to learn to accept that a Dom(me)has to possess the wisdom to accept that some things are as much His/Her limitations as they are the slave. viv is right, we all have physical limits it isn't possible to change, does that make a bad slave, no it makes her unique. Cherish her for that uniqueness, accept her gift of submission and run with it. Life is too short to waste on trivial matters.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16665553495197458150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6239336914160909269.post-85896481615395772422008-08-19T21:26:00.000-07:002008-08-19T21:26:00.000-07:00I am in full agreement with viv. I have the right...I am in full agreement with viv. I have the right to cut off my slave's arm and she fully asknowledges that. But I will never ask her to prove it because I know I can do it but it would damage my girl and minimize the work that she can do for me so I would be hurting myself and that is inconceivable.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02512461030999428899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6239336914160909269.post-51381553521282616092008-08-09T14:10:00.000-07:002008-08-09T14:10:00.000-07:00Interesting points expressed in the article.Interesting points expressed in the article.cyberdivahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07343658524372611485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6239336914160909269.post-14197064564765637962008-08-09T14:03:00.000-07:002008-08-09T14:03:00.000-07:00First of all... I very much dislike the qualifier ...First of all... I very much dislike the qualifier "true" being added to any title... it adds an aire of objective reality to something that is ultimately a subjective experience. I usually reject any arguments right at the get-go when I see that term used.

But, as far as the article... I disagree. I don't think it is impossible for a slave to have no limits with their master. Limits like "I don't know how to do brain surgery", are not limits the slave is imposing on the master, they are limits the universe is imposing on _both_ the Master and the slave. Likewise the Master could not tell the slave to levitate off the ground and realistically expect it to happen.

In the contract I signed in April of last year, it had some provision for that fact... like that the master accepts the laws of reality and that I am human, and my experience and knowledge is limited, ect ect... and that the master won't punish the slave for something that is beyond her control. Otherwise known as the "shit happens" clause.

And while it is important for the master to not be an asshole or an idiot when it comes to what they require their slave to do I would not call someone a Master if they were.

Most of the people (whom I have met) who have been around the block enough times with this argument will eventually change their explanation of limits from "I have no limits" to something along the lines of "I have no limits except for those my Master sets for me" or "my limits are my master's limits".

The fact of the universe is that there are things that any one individual simply can not do... and for most people with a conscience, there are things they are simply unwilling to do... murder comes to mind. So, in order to be a slave who does not impose any limits on their master, you have to find a master who already has those limits self-imposed... so the master will never ask you to murder someone, and will never ask you to levitate off the ground, and will never ask you to do any of those things that you can't do or are morally opposed to doing. If one trusts their master 100% with that then one can say "I give all my limits to you" because the slave knows in their heart of hearts that the situation where they have to pick between their obedience and their morals will never come up.

It goes to those hyperbolic questions of "what if he was gonna cut off your arm?!" To which the answer is "well, I trust that's not going to happen, and if it did, he would be breaking his responsibility as my master to look out for my best interests/ wellbeing, and so would have ceased being my master at that point anyway, so I would have no obligation to obey him anymore."

So, there are some folks who would say that the fact that the master should not order the slave to do something that the slave is completely incapable of doing... is such an obvious fact that it's not even worth mentioning within the conversation of limits.

So, in other, simpler terms... "duh".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6239336914160909269.post-64588350202584676812008-08-09T10:03:00.000-07:002008-08-09T10:03:00.000-07:00Good article about slavesGood article about slavesspankerpoligolihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05010659159950586530noreply@blogger.com
